The Understanding Student Loan Forgiveness webinar, provided by PayForED, helps borrowers navigate the complex process of qualifying for loan forgiveness.  Due to the Big Beautiful Bill, new rules start in July 2026, and proper planning needs to happen now.

Too often, the correct steps are not clearly explained, leaving many borrowers unaware of how repayment methods, employment, income, and taxes work together to determine eligibility and their monthly payment.  This session will cover the importance of debt structure, outline the repayment options required for forgiveness, and clarify the difference between general Loan Forgiveness and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).

Participants will also learn strategies to manage their Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) to maximize opportunities for loan forgiveness.  Loan servicers are not legally allowed to give this guidance, as it constitutes personal financial advice. The webinar will also discuss legacy with borrowers who have Parent PLUS loans and those in the SAVE repayment method.
